Join Refuge Recovery NYC on Monday, 3/25/19 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm for a volunteer opportunity followed by naloxone training with New York Harm Reduction Educators at 104 East 126th St. Office 3A New York, NY 10035.
Volunteers will help support the wide range of outreach activities that NYHRE does in support of people with opioid use disorders, including packing kits for:
- safer sex
- safer drug use
- overdose intervention
- fentanyl test strips, and
Afterward, attendees are welcomed to stay for Naloxone training. Naloxone is a medication designed to rapidly reverse opioid overdose. Training will teach how to recognize and respond to an overdose.
